netSEO: Advanced Checkout for CS-Cart

netSEO: Advanced Checkout is a professional addon for CS-Cart 4.20+ (lite checkout) that keeps the native checkout flow and replaces the Locality text field with lists from the netSEO database of counties and localities in Romania. The customer chooses the county, then the locality from the filtered list; optionally, the postal code is automatically filled in. It does not add new profile fields: it uses the existing user_data.s_state , user_data.s_city and zipcode , plus delivery, payment, terms, GDPR, newsletter and summary, as displayed by CS-Cart.

Select county and locality for Romania

At checkout, for the country Romania, the location fields become clear lists:

• County from the netseo_ro_states table (standard codes, e.g. AB, B)
• Locality from the netseo_ro_cities table, loaded according to the chosen county
• Placeholder "select locality" when the list is empty or no value is chosen
• Floating labels (County / City) visible on lite checkout, including mandatory asterisk
• Option to enable/disable from the addon settings, without breaking the native checkout

RO database loaded at installation

Upon installation, the module imports the location SQL:

• Own tables: netseo_ro_states and netseo_ro_cities
• The cities are served through the internal JSON endpoint advanced_checkout.get_cities
• Upon uninstallation, the location tables remain on the server (data is not accidentally deleted)

Autocomplete postal code

Each locality can have a ZIP code in the database:

• When choosing the locality, the native postal code field is automatically filled in.
• Works on shipping address and billing address (when displayed separately)
• Dedicated option in settings: turn on/off ZIP autocomplete

Integration with lite checkout 4.20

The module talks to the native CS-Cart flow, it does not replace it:

• Hooks on checkout/location_state and checkout/location_city
• Preserve lite checkout attributes ( data-ca-lite-checkout-field , auto-save on change)
• After selecting the delivery location, unlock / update shipping methods (native overlay unlock)
• Rebinding after AJAX: changing "different billing address", reloading checkout steps, profile forms
• If the country is not RO, the fields remain in native CS-Cart behavior

Native fields, no duplicates

Checkout remains CS-Cart:

• Profile fields, delivery, payment, terms and conditions, GDPR, newsletter, order summary
• No extra fields are created in Administration → Profile Fields
• The required on the Locality respects the native setting of the checkout field

Administration settings

From the addon settings:

• Select county/locality RO — Yes / No (default Yes)
• Automatically fill in postal code — Yes / No (default Yes)
• License code — automatic verification on save

The module includes dedicated files for the main topics:

• Responsive (CS-Cart default theme)
• Nova Theme
• CSS for county/locality selectors on lite checkout (text color, compact label, empty state)

Integration with Addons Manager

The module depends on netSEO Addons Manager for license management:

• License code configured from the addon settings
• License verification upon activation and saving settings
• Includes Upgrade Center connector for updates via CS-Cart Upgrade Center
• Consistency with the rest of netSEO addons

Native integration into CS-Cart

netSEO: Advanced Checkout integrates via template hooks per location (county/locality), JS on the storefront, and a JSON controller for cities. Data is written to native user fields, so orders, profiles, and delivery methods remain compatible with the rest of the store.

Without city lists, customers type cities with wrong diacritics or incomplete names, and shipping calculations and postal codes remain uncertain. netSEO: Advanced Checkout standardizes county, city and ZIP for Romania, on the same checkout CS-Cart, without duplicating fields or replacing order steps.
