netSEO: Advanced product import from CSV, XML and JSON feed for CS-Cart

netSEO: Advanced Product Import from CSV/XML/JSON Feed is a professional addon for CS-Cart (very useful for CS-Cart Multivendor platforms that automates the import and update of products from CSV, XML, JSON files. The module is designed for large feeds and batch imports, with automatic resumption, real-time progress and robust blocking/recovery mechanisms for cron scripts and parallel execution without blocking the web server/site.

Product import (creation and update)

The addon can:

  • Import new products from CSV/XML/JSON.
  • Update existing products based on a unique identifier (e.g. product code / external ID).
  • Run in flexible modes (create only, update only, or create + update, depending on the profile).
  • Import setting only products in stock, import setting only products with a price higher than X lei.
  • Possibility of importing with automatic creation of categories with those in the feed or/and category mapping.
  • Intelligent and automatic category mapping.
  • Manual category mapping in mass.
  • Possibility to set a default category into which to import all products from the feed with or without the category structure (category branch) from the feed.
  • Import and Update based on unique product ID or Product Code.

Batch processing with resume without re-downloading the feed

For large files, the import runs incrementally. Upon resumption, the module can reuse the local feed path from the job payload, avoiding re-downloading or re-resolving the source for each batch. This reduces the overall time and reduces the risk of timeouts.

Cron worker and automatic scheduling

The module includes a cron worker that can run imports automatically at configured intervals. The system is designed to avoid duplication of jobs and properly manage concurrency:

  • Lock on profile (flock) to prevent simultaneous execution on the same profile.
  • Controlled reset of stale jobs when the lease expires.
  • Configurable time budget per request, to run stably on hostings with execution limits.

Intelligent progress and status monitoring (no false positives)

The admin interface displays the progress of the import, including processing phases and a clear status (running, waiting, completed). The deadlock detection logic takes into account the real progress (rows processed/created/updated/errors) to avoid erroneously displaying a "deadlocked" status when the import is working.

Optimized image import for heavy scenarios

When attaching images, the module uses deduplication (by source and by content) and activity updates (heartbeat) to keep the job "alive" even when a single operation takes a long time (e.g. many images for a product). This reduces the risk of premature resets or crashes in the interface.

Global daily report via email

The addon can send a global daily report (once a day) with the summary of imports. It includes a locking mechanism between processes, to prevent double sending at the same time in parallel conditions.

Native integration into CS-Cart (profiles, UI and permissions)

netSEO: CSV/XML/JSON Import integrates natively into the CS-Cart administration area, with:

  • Configurable import profiles.
  • Quick actions (run worker, queue import, jobs and progress).
  • Dedicated permissions for management.

This addon is recommended for stores that work with feeds from suppliers, have large volumes of products, and need stable, reproducible, and monitorable import, both manually and automatically via cron.
